Hundreds of bottle and can pack machines are produced for Mead at plants

Southern Tool enters into long-term contract with the Mead Packaging
Division to be exclusive manufacturer of Mead Packaging Food and Beverage

Southern Tool Corporation produces and markets beverage machines under
the SouthMark name - basket wrap carrier openers and stuffers; 12-can
and 24-can pack systems; 6-pack and 8-pack glass bottle wrap systems;
12-pack glass packs, and corrugated tray packers

Southern Tool Company forms Western Slope Industries (WSI) in Grand Junction,
Colorado to serve the converting side of the carton industry

Johns Manville purchases Olinkraft. Southern Tool continues as the beverage
packaging machinery builder for Manville

Olin spins off the Forest Products group, Olinkraft. Southern Tool
remains exclusive manufacturer of beverage packaging machinery for Olinkraft
